This place seems to cater to an older crowd I think it needs to be modernized no wifi makes for a very loooonnngggg wait especially cause the staff seems to be in no rush and they weren't friendly. The bacon is the best I've ever had crispy without being greasy or burnt.pancakes were just average I've had bigger @ I -hop, the husband had a omelette cheese was extra so he went without. ..next time we will go to I-HOP!!

Super annoyed that I cannot order a BLT before 3 pm, because it's too complex to place bacon on top of toast. Fucking morons.

Best pancakes I've ever eaten! Oj was fresh squeezed and bacon was thick cut. Place was packed but food came out fast. I had the raspberry pancakes which were covered with huge fresh berries.

My favorite breakfast place. I absolutely love their omelettes. They whip the eggs and bake them in the oven. It makes them extremely fluffy with a wonderful texture. The service is very good. Frequently checking with the guest on the quality of the meal and coffee and water refills. I highly recommend all the OPH restaurants in Buffalo. They all deliver consistently high quality food and service.

Great Place, awesome crepes, blueberry waffle was to die for, well almost, sausages were perfect, service was great, the only thing is there was a shell in my pecans.

Great service and food was delicious! Big portions, and never had to wait for a coffee refill. Waitresses were very patient and accommodating for my large group.

My visit at the original house of pancakes was lackluster to say the least. We waited 15 minutes alone to order food without anyone seeing us and noticing that we had not ordered. Our waitresses name was Aisha and she was training and she was sweet and caring, was our first waitress. There was miscommunication between the waiting staff about who was our waiter. Finally our waitress came and her name was Christina and she was extremely rude, probably the worst waitress I have ever had. She took our order finally and never apologized for the wait. The people who were sitting near us and got seated 15 minutes after us finished their food before we even got ours My friend wanted a half order of bacon and she would not let her get half, but she was extremely rude about it instead of saying sorry we can't do that she said "no.". They never put in the order and finally when I asked for an eta was when they put it in. In the mean time a waitress named ruby came by to apologize and she was great. We waited forever to get the food. Food was good but not worth the wait. Would never come back because customer service was abysmal. Do not recommend coming here. As a college student who looks forward to eating off campus I do not recommend.

Not to be confused with the Original Spamfake House, which is in Nigeria, and is where all of those people type out those "Dear Sir... please send your bank account details to me here in Nigeria so I can send you millions of dollars" emails. Once upon a long ago, I went here for pancakes. It was pretty standard really, I wouldn't be able to differentiate between this place and a Perkins, or a Dennys, or a Friendlys, to be honest. Other than the fact that Friendlys has really amazing ice cream shakes. Their breakfast food is typical breakfast food, their pancakes are typical American pancakes, and I am biased against those because I grew up being in love with British Pancakes, and indeed I love crepes and such... not at all into the dry and bland nature of American fluff-cakes :) But I know you all love them very much, and if you do, this place is as good as anywhere to grab them. The best American style pancakes I've had are at Pamela's P & G Diner in Pitt.

You can never go wrong coming to the Original Pancake House for breakfast foods. Don't pass it up just because it's a chain restaurant. Unlike other chains, they do not litter every block and are far apart. I've been coming to OPH regularly for the last 10 years or so and have yet to find something that I do not like. I've been to this particular establishment twice and left with a full belly and a smile on my face each time. They have small booths for couples and large booths for parties of 5-6 as well. The omlets are large enough that you can share with another friend and still leave satisfied. I had their ham omlet + a side of pancakes and was full for the remainder of the day. My go to food here is the Sweedish pancakes, but their waffles, pan cakes, omlets, are all very delicious. The staff is very friendly, always made sure our coffees were refilled in a timely manner. Restaurant decor matches most of the other OPHs. Very clean and brightly lit. I recommend coming with a group of friends and having it family style so everyone can try a little of everything.

New York's version on the OPH is a bit different then Indiana. And I liked it. Reminded me more of on old school diner. The coffee was good, the omelet was huge which is a direct result of being baked. I am a fan of this process. The side of pancakes were above average, nothing to call home about. Service was not great, considering the place was pretty empty I was annoyed that I had to track down the server for a coffee refill.. The cups are very small, so I would think they would be on top of this minor detail. All and all a good place to get some breakfast if your from out of town looking to fill up before hitting the road!

I love this place. The portions are huge. To me there pancakes are the best. Their omelet is so big it can be shared by 2 if you are not a big eater. Even the coffee is great. The interior could be updated a bit but the atmosphere is still great.

Awesome breakfast. Our other option was IHOP. We are so glad we chose original pancake. Order a feta spinach omelet was huge and filled full with feta. Pecan pancakes layered with pecans. We also had the Belgium waffle. Thick, fluffy and crisp on outside. Enough food on our plates to feed a few more people. Pricey but well worth it. Very clean and friendly place. Fully satisfied.

If you like thick cut bacon and crazy pancakes - this place is for you. My standard is the bacon and basted eggs (which you can get any way you want) and I always substitute the peanut butter pancakes in place of the buttermilk pancakes (it's only .75 to do this). If peanut butter isn't your thing, they have like 20 other varieties too. The bacon here is pretty crazy. It's the thickest cut bacon I have ever seen and it comes out in perfect straight lines. I am not sure what their secret is, but even when I cook bacon in the oven I can't get it this perfect. They give you 4 slices with your order and they are giant. The peanut butter pancakes come with sweet peanut butter chips inside and are served with a strawberry syrup. It sounds like a weird combination but it's actually super good. Sometimes the service is a little slow here but the prices are decent and the food is delicious.

I went once and will never go again. They brought out my boyfriends food and didn't bring mine out till he was completely done...it was sitting under a hot lamp for the whole time. When they gave it to me I just looked at the server like 'do you think I'm going to eat this?' And she walked away. She came back 10 min later after I hadn't touched it and said she would take it off my bill, no 'sorry' or anything. There was no excuse for it either, it was a very slow day..

Place to be for brunch. While it's called the pancake house, don't just limit yourself to pancakes! Waffles, potato pancakes, crepes and omelets are all outstanding. Only giving 3 stars however because the service is poor. Last time I was there, the waitress didn't come by once to see if we needed more coffee before our food came. I know it was a busy Saturday morning, but she didn't even walk by us once! Still, pancake house will always be my brunch staple in Amherst.

    (3)
  • Robyn G.

I have to give them 4 stars. I have to give them 4 stars despite some issues, because the food was just sooo good. Ambience is average at best. Fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious, but you will want at LEAST a medium, which is still extra small(so good though, and it was enough for me.)The bacon was thick and delicious, and the plain pancakes were really yummy! We were seated immediately on a Sunday around 10:30am Overall, best breakfast we have had in awhile.Would like it again, soon.

  • Nancy Y.

Its a pancake house with the FLUFFIEST Omelettes! It tastes really good too. I also tried their pancakes (I forgot what the name of it was but it had a lot of chocolate) and it was delicious. It wasnt grossly sweet and I remember the texture of the pancake being awesome. Also, I like the ambience of the restaurant. It's very family-like and home-y. Also casual and welcoming! I would go back to try other types of pancakes that they have! Go go go!

If you are looking for a breakfast place with great food including authentic Canadian Bacon. Whole cream for your coffee. Huge serving sizes. This is your place.

  • Dustin R.

I go there pretty regularly and the food is always good but the staff on Sunday mornings is very unfriendly. They also do not offer good service. Multiple times they would forget basics like coffee, and syrup. If want good Pancakes but bad service with no coffee this is the place to be.

I love this place. During my first few years in Buffalo my husband (then boyfriend!) would take me here every year on my birthday to celebrate. And oh celebrate we did. We moved out of Amherst and stopped our yearly tradition. I visited again this past weekend with a girlfriend for a breakfast bonanza before our New Year's resolutions started. We went around noon so it wasn't too busy. I ordered one of the enormous omelets and my pal got peanut butter waffles. Both selections were impeccable. This place might be pricey for breakfast, but it is worth it. The omelets are as big as my face. The waffles are perfect. Endless coffee. Fresh squeezed OJ. But come hungry because you will stuff yourself!

  • Samantha M.

Bacon was great. Home fries were good. Overpriced for breakfast food. Had to ask three times for more coffee.

  • Lauren O.

The service was good, but the food wasn't. The warm ham and mushroom crepe was gross. If you love brunch and have been to some really great breakfast places, don't go here. If you like places like IHOP, this place is for you.

Classic pancakes, omelets, and fresh accoutrements! This is a throwback to the Walker Bros Pancake House back in Chicago. Always warm, friendly, and delicious, every WNY'er should stop by for a Dutch Baby or Apple Pancake!

Best breakfast food around. Must have the Dutch Baby it is to die for! Now I want one!

Powdered eggs. You know, like the ones McDonalds has on those "egg" McMuffin sandwiches- the fake eggs that are like 2 inches thick, shaped like squares, and can be folded and manipulated into various shapes? Well... I truly believe that's what they have here. I ordered an omelette, which came with 3 plain pancakes. The pancakes were a good size (actually big), hot, and tasted- dare I say, much better than IHOP's pancakes. The butter dallop on top was a bit much, but those pancakes were great. The omelette was disappointing only because my boyfriend and I could tell we were not eating real eggs, they were defintely egg substitute. The taste was off, and the texture was just... weird. The service was just ok, the waitress flew by the table a few times without looking at either of us while dropping off napkins or whatever else. The fireplace did add a nice touch to the atmosphere, so plus for that. I'll hand 'em 3 stars.

I had brunch here the other day, as a friend of mine had the idea we go here. I usually do not give chain restaurants a rating higher than a 3. And yes, I am giving this restaurant 3 stars, but due to interesting circumstances. We were a party of three, and as it was a Sunday morning, there was a short wait, about 10 minutes. We were then seated, and our orders were taken. I ordered the Polish omelette, paired with buttermilk pancakes. I was warned that it was a huge plate by my friend (I was an OPH virgin), and sure enough, it was one huge omelette. That being said, the omelette was rather tasty, tastier than what I expected. Very fluffy. Tasty enough that based on the quality of the food alone, I was willing to give it 4 stars. However, what turned me off was the size. Why do they insist on making the omelette that big? It was as big as my face. Really, I ate an omelette as big as my face. I skipped dinner due to this meal. Can't they make the portions smaller, and charge less? Sure, I can eat just half of it, and take the remainder home, but who would want to eat leftover food? Some food items are meant to be enjoyed during the first pass, not after being reheated. I'd rather have them serve smaller portions costing less than the current huge portions. No wonder America is getting obese. So, ambience = 3 stars. Food quality = 4 stars. Food quantity = 2 stars. Overall = 3 stars.

Traveling through the area and stopped in for breakfast around 8:30am with my man friend. We seemed to beat the Saturday morning rush. Strange ambience, but I was excited about the classic diner appeal. The food: I ordered a bacon omelette with cheddar cheese and broccoli added in with a side of the pancakes. My partner ordered two eggs over medium, bacon, and home fries. Pros: -Consistent coffee refills -The bacon omelette was enormous & fluffy like it was baked. I added in broccoli and cheddar cheese and it was very good. However, why did this omelette have to be so big & expensive?! My partner & I were waging bets on how many eggs were used. We settled on about 6. -The pancakes were solid. -We ended up with a lot of food for what we ordered. -Service was for the most part consistent and friendly Cons: -The menu simply did not make sense to either of us. Cheese was not included in the omelette price - it was an expensive add on. In fact, all the standard breakfast add-ons seemed exorbitantly expensive. My partner wanted a classic breakfast of bacon, eggs, and potatoes and all items had to be ordered a la carte, which added up when sides of bacon are ~$4.50, potatoes over $3, etc. The menu made it difficult to order efficiently and economically. -Beverage glass sizes were incredibly strange & small. -Food took awhile to come out. The bacon came out 10 minutes later than everything else. -My partner was not a fan of the bacon. Crispy, but bland in flavor. -The home fries were soggy and grainy. We were excited for crispy, hot potatoes. I spied several orders coming out of the kitchen that looked intriguing - giant cake-like towers, presumably varieties of pancakes for which this place is known. I wish I had been more into ordering pancakes - we may have been more satisfied. Bottom line is order an omelette and split it with a friend. If I'm ever in the area again, I may want to order some pancakes and update this review. But honestly, I would prefer to eat at IHOP.

I am so torn about this one... They have a really unique selection of offerings on the menu. I was delighted with the dutch baby German pancake, & the Swedish pancakes with lingonberry, they were an international novelty and delicious. That being said there are some serious reasons I don't rate higher and that keep me from getting too comfortable and going here on a regular basis. They are VERY pricey for what it is. The drink portions are bizarre. The orange juice is fresh squeezed and amazing but the small looks toddler sized. Want a carafe for the table? $16 dollars and it's yours... Even the water glasses were "medium sized" and can be finished in within a few sips. You would think that a place that charges what they do could afford not to water down the honey, hot sauce and who knows what else. It is very noticeable. On the menu coffee is unlimited but if you want tea it's $2.45 and they use a cheap brand and specify that you only get one refill. (really? am I troubling you to ask for extra hot water with my meal?) Also the $2.50 charge for splitting an order printed in bold on the menu very it is off-putting. My service there has varied from helpful and friendly to a sarcastic (not the fun kind) and dead inside. Any of these things I have listed would not be an issue at another restaurant as an isolated thing, but all of them combined make you feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. This is unfortunate because enjoy the food and it is very close to my home but with all of these factors combined I just honestly don't feel good about spending my money there.

Ok...I LOVE the pancake house on Main Street and was certainly expecting a similar experience at this one. I mainly go for the pancakes as I love them a little sweeter and not as cakey... I had the ones at this location...and was disappointed. Not sure if they were made on a grill where other food was cooked prior, or what...but they had a funny taste...and I ate 2 of them thinking maybe only one of them was funny,..but no such luck. Also someone at my table ordered a bagel and cream cheese...I was very surprised that they had the nerve to send out one of those small frozen, Lender's bagels..not even the big, regular size, but the smaller version. $3.50??? Seriously..would have rather they said they were out of them. Bummer, and will stick to the one on Main Street in Williamsville.

My favorite omelet in the world. It's huge, you can order a half size omelet though, which is nice because it's so expensive once you add cheese, yes they charge for cheese so the omelet could be $12 ... The bacon is good but at over a dollar a slice not worth it, my companion always orders the waffle and she loves it. The pancakes are great, you don't even need

Not bad for breakfast but I don't know why its always so busy. Went here today again for breakfast and I wonder why I didn't go somewhere else? There are so many good local places in Buffalo that its hard to go wrong. The food is decent, anything with fruit is usually fresh. Pretty quick service, but the atmosphere is lacking a little bit since I always feel rushed to leave. Portion sizes are reasonable but don't expect to be stuffed for $10. Pancakes are rather small in comparison to other places but then again, maybe that's just portion inflation that's leading to the fattening of America. In conclusion, not bad if you're willing to wait (occasionally) and settle for an OK meal.

Its diner/pancake house food....Really big portions for a decent price, I was really impressed! Walked in, sat right away, order taken, food was at the table in less than 10 minutes, and I wasnt able to finish all the food....And that doesnt happen often, especially when the food is that good!

  • Pepper O.

Their coffee is really good!!! My favorite dish are the potato pancakes. Not too heavy on the onion, which tends to be the problem at other places. I honestly am not a huge pancake, crepe, or omelet lover, so my opinion counts for nothing here. But, as far as potato pancake are concerned. Two Thumbs Up! Get it with the ham steak, or the bacon. OH, and YES to both the sour cream and apple sauce. THANKS!!! :)

Loved the down home feel. The crepes were amazing! Service was average, but the food was amazing! I can't wait to be in buffalo again to try more of the menu!

  • Jessica M.

Stick with the pancakes here! Omelets are HUGE, the potato pancakes are a bit greasy but the pancakes are delicious. If you order the apple version, make sure you've got time to linger. This bavarian style treat with apples and cinnamon takes 20 minutes to prepare. But for $9.95 it's definitely big enough to share (maybe even with three people!)

  • Gregory W.

The food is good. No complaints there. However, the prices are high, so the value equation doesn't usually work. And, they're not very gracious if you dare to walk in with your half finished cup of Tim Horton's coffee. Give me a break - if you're going to charge sky high prices, I don't think you need to hold me up for the price of another cup of coffee. Especially if its not as good as my favorite Tim's or a coffee house brew. Just sayin'...

Breakfast... The most important meal of the day! On the basis of this foundation, the Original Pancake House encompasses the ability to provide a substantial and heavy breakfast for each dining patron. I'll avoid going into details into the restaurant's atmosphere other than to state that the ceilings are spacious, which provided a nice amount of natural lighting to seep into the restaurant's interior confines. The tables themselves were relatively well spaced out, thus allowing for semi-privacy during consumption. The Food.... Buttermilk Pancakes: Served with butter and hot syrup, this rendition is a classic interpretation of a breakfast staple. At presentation, it was discovered that the stack measured 3 pancakes, each with a diameter of approximately 9" to 10". The massive sized round pancakes contained a balanced, humbling, and fresh scent. The warmed of the pancakes helped to slightly melt the dab of butter placed on the top pancake, thus providing a welcoming creamy scent. After a drizzle (or pour) of Fresh Maple Syrup, it was off to the races. At first bite, patrons will discover that buttery and flakey texture of the pancake to be a welcoming touch to this classic dish. Warm, fluffy, and humbling are three terms that are best described when tasting the Buttermilk Pancakes. The slight dab of butter used in the application provided the nice counter flavor that made the dish slightly savory. To encompass the Fresh Maple Syrup is to allow the pancakes to come full circle. With its natural soaking properties, each bite of the pancake rendered the luscious Maple Syrup, which combined remarkably well with the natural fluffy texture of the pancakes. Each bite produced a heightened level of satiety that was accompanied but a humbling warmth that's found only with an well produced pancake. Perhaps comfort food is a better term to describe this classic staple. Nevertheless, the stuffed feeling observed after the pancakes' consumption is one that's sought after, for frequent occasions in the future. Notes on Original Pancake House: - Restaurant gets busy on weekend mornings, wait times can last up to 30 minutes - Slightly rushed as patrons were waiting. - Price: $10.00 / person. Can be more if ordering Steak and Eggs.

One of my favorite breakfast joints around. Hands down the best cup of coffee you can get at a diner/breakfast joint in town. I originally thought this place was a WNY only establishment. i know know that they are all over the country...but anyways back to the food. That is what we're here for. Now let's get one thing straight. this place is a Little on the pricey side. Most items are ala carte. But the quality of the food can't be beat. you are definitely getting what you paid for. they have a few items that are definitely unique to the Pancake house, like the Dutch Baby and Apple Cinnamon Pancake. Both are German style backed pancakes and both are incredibly delicious. Both are so big you would need a partner in crime or a second stomach to finish. they are huge. Another unique menu item are their omelets. They oven bake these as well. they are enormous, yet light and fluffy. Other offering include a variety of crepes, cakes and toasts. I have sampled a variety of there faire and have rarely been disappointed. I'm not a huge pancake guy, but there are so many other choices...come for the coffee and stay for everything else. Yumm! ps..make sure you get there early on the weekends. there are no reservations and you may find yourself waiting for a bit.

Service was prompt and friendly but we got pecan shells in the pecan pancakes. The dollar pancakes were good but seemed to disappear too quickly.... not sure that was their fault....

Busy busy busy best describes the pancake house. Let me start by saying, why does this place punish us coffee drinkers?!?! Little tiny tea cups?! Really? I'm pretty sure some people have problems getting a "finger" around the handle to hold it!!! Geesh! Come on please get bigger cups! These cups only hold 6 ounces if your lucky!! Not to mention I was having problems getting refills, so off to Timmy Ho's I go to grab a cup after! Minus a star for all the coffee service neglect drama! Ok the food is great! The blueberry pancakes where tasty and fantastic but super super pricey!! Also I ordered 2 eggs and was charge $3.10!!! Ouch! I know of places super close to here to have breakfast at that only charge 45 cents Per egg ,so yeah rip off! This is price manipulation at its finest! Minus another star for high prices and minus another star for the lackluster service! I won't be back for a long long time when I know of places within 20 minutes of here that can give you just as great if not better breakfast with all the side add ons and only run you $8! Breakfast for 2 runs $17.00 at those places, here $30! Do the math, this equals pancake house you lose to the competition!

My bf and I stopped here on our way back from a weekend trip for a late breakfast. I went there based on my fellow Yelpers' reviews - so thanks, folks! He got the insane Apple Pancake (which everyone near us stared at) and I got the blueberry crepes with a side of bacon. We both loved our food and stuffed ourselves silly. I didn't even need dinner that night! The bacon was good & thick-cut, and my crepes were delish. Our server was great and the folks around us seemed happy too. I'd be happy to have one of these near me!

Great Breakfast. A bit pricey, but huge portions so you get what you pay for! Orange juice is tiny though and pretty overpriced. Coffee is very good! Got the peanut butter pancakes which were huge and could not finish all four, but were delicious!

  • Jennifer M.

We came here on our way home from Niagara Falls & decided to try it based on the Yelp reviews. We are so glad we did! My husband & I both got omelettes; giant, fluffy and perfectly cooked. My feta & spinach had plenty of feta. The pancakes were also delicious! I did giggle at the decor, I felt like I was back in 1994. Wish we had one closer!

Sharon, our waitress, was awesome! She took great care of our large group with little effort. The food was amazing. I had the bacon pancakes. This will be the way I make them at home from now on. My husband had the Cherry crepes. Amazing! Will stop here for breakfast when I'm in town.

Wasn't the greatest. The creamer for the coffee had old crust around the dispenser. Took over 25 minutes for our pancakes to come. The only good thing was how they came around every couple minutes with hot coffee for refills.

Pancakes who cares? I care! What a great restaurant. It starts with fresh squeezed orange juice, good coffee with super fine sugar and 35% cream, yes 35% cream. Super Delicious pancakes but best of all thick artisan bacon. Do I really need to write more....one complaint that the server was not the friendliest, but thick cut bacon makes up for it.

Home of the Dutch Baby. The best breakfast meal ever. The only downfall is the cost. A side of sausage links are $4.50. The service is always great great. And I have been coming here for years. It's truly great good.

Not impressed :( This was my first visit here, and it will be my last. The cost was WAY too high for breakfast, and the food wasn't particularly good. Portions are LARGE but if you're thinking you can split them so that you can afford to eat here, don't. They charge $2.5 if you want to share a plate. If you want a meal that will cost you less than $10 you will have to order a couple of sides and not try their pancakes. I ordered the Mushroom omelet, when it came out it looked good, and was HUGE, but upon tasting it I was disappointed. The sauce had an ok flavor but was full of canned mushrooms. For $10 I got a 3 egg omelet with canned mushrooms and 3 burnt, flavorless potato pancakes (to be fair, my husband thought the potato pancakes were ok, until he got a burnt part). The best part of my meal was the little cup of applesauce that I ate. PS. if you want cheese in your omelet it will cost you $1.5 extra... My husband got the Strawberry Crepes and he really enjoyed them. I thought the fresh strawberries on top could have been warm instead of cold, but he thought it was very good. The Apple pancake looked good when someone at another table got it, but it was MASSIVE and 1/2 of it would have gone to waste since we couldn't share it, in retrospect, I would have ordered that and wasted 1/2 the meal because it would have been better than leaving completely disappointed. On a good note, the servers were nice and attentive and the building is cool. For two of us for breakfast with tip it was $24 and I wish I hadn't eaten my meal since it's sitting like a rock in my stomach right now :(

WOW! This place is awesome blows everything in Connecticut away. I recommend the bacon pancakes. The place is cute and cozy inside. Our waitress was great (she was in training, and was great and polite while with her trainer) Great job everyone.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
